RIDGEFIELD PARK, NJ — When the NJSIAA District 7 wrestling tournament begins Saturday, the West Essex High School varsity wrestling team will join DePaul, Mountain Lakes, Dwight-Morrow, Paramus Catholic, Ridgefield Park, Roxbury, Cedar Grove, Lodi and John F. Kennedy Paterson at Ridgefield Park High School.

The top three wrestlers in each district will advance to regions next week.

The first round for this district will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday with the final round currently set for 5 p.m. at Ridgefield Park.

Eight West Essex wrestlers were seeded in the top 4 of their respective weight classes, including Billy Garofalo (No. 4), Mike Ruane (No. 3), Jonathan Bartley (No. 4), Chris Zaccaria (No. 1), Noah Struss (No. 1), Luke Dignazio (No. 4), Peter Kenny (no. 4) and Joseph Melillo (No. 2).
