"Chocolate Lovers Delight Contest"

In honor of Valentine's Day, the West Caldwell Public Library, 30 Clinton Road, will present a "Chocolate Lovers Delight Contest" on Thursday, February 15 at 6:30 pm in the Community Room. If you are a chocoholic who loves to bake, then whip up your "best" chocolate dessert and enter it in the contest for a chance to win a prize. Contestants must be an adult resident of either Caldwell or West Caldwell. Any type of chocolate dessert is acceptable, but the desserts must be made from scratch. No commercial "slice and bake" brands or bakery items will be accepted. If you are making cookies or brownies, then you must prepare a minimum of two dozen. Entry forms must be submitted to the library by 6:00 pm on Friday, February 9th. To obtain an entry form and contest rules, visit the Reference Desk at the library or click on this link  http://wcplnj.org/chocolate/ and print the form. First, second and third prizes will be awarded and possibly honorable mention depending upon the number of entries. Desserts will be judged based on taste, degree of difficulty and overall presentation and they must be delivered to the library on Thursday, February 15 between 1:00 and 4:00 pm.
