Chocolate Lovers Delight Contest at West Caldwell Library

In honor of Valentine’s Day, the West Caldwell Public Library, 30 Clinton Road, will hold its third annual “Chocolate Lovers Delight Contest” on Thursday, February 6 at 6:30 pm in the Community Room.

Adults and teens, age 15 and older, who are residents of Caldwell or West Caldwell are invited to bake their “best” chocolate dessert and enter it in the contest for a chance to win prizes. First, second and third prizes will be awarded and the audience will vote for the “People’s Choice Award” after they have sampled all the desserts.

Any type of chocolate dessert is acceptable, but the desserts must be made from scratch, no commercial “slice and bake” brands or bakery items will be accepted. If cookies or brownies are made, a minimum of two dozen are required.

Entry forms must be submitted to the Library by 6:00 pm on Friday, January 31 and the entry forms and contest rules are available at the Library’s Circulation and Reference Desks or on the Library’s website, www.wcplnj.org. Select the “Your Community” tab and then “Adult” and choose the form from the drop down menu.
