History of Essex County Airport at West Caldwell Library

Friends of the West Caldwell Public Library will present a slide-lecture about A History of the Essex County Airport on Thursday, November 7 at 6:30 pm in the Community Room of the West Caldwell Public Library, 30 Clinton Road.

Tom Gomez, Airport Manager of the Essex County Airport, will discuss the airport's history from World War II to the present. He will discuss the types of airplanes used over the years, the growth of the facility and public safety, and development of operations. Historic photographs of the airport will also be shared and some of the famous people who have landed there. 

Prior to the program, the Friends of the Library will have their Annual Membership Meeting that includes the election of officers and a brief budget discussion.
