Trinity Academy in Caldwell to Present "Shrek the Musical, Jr."

The Trinity Academy Drama Club will present “Shrek The Musical, Jr.” on Thursday, April 6, and Friday, April 7, at 7:30 p.m., in the Trinity Academy Gymnasium, located at 235 Bloomfield Avenue in Caldwell. Tickets will be available at the door.

The production is based on the Oscar®-winning DreamWorks Animation film and the book “Shrek,” by William Steig. It follows the adventures of an ogre named Shrek, who sets off on a quest to save a princess from a dragon. However, it turns out that in order to ultimately succeed, Shrek must battle an even bigger obstacle: learning how to believe in himself and open his heart to others.

Under the direction of Kelly King, this is Trinity Academy's 24th annual drama production. Trinity continues to celebrate the arts, with the drama club giving students the opportunity to learn about acting, make-up, scenery, costumes, props, lighting and stage management.

I am truly awed by the Olympics.  Watching these superb young athletes on TV inspires me to renew my membership to the gym and pursue my lifelong dream of taking home the gold.

The problem is that in my deluded head, I can see actually see myself standing atop the podium.  I am wrapped in a puffy designer ski coat with a huge piece of bling slung around my neck ...

In the Driver's Seat

Honey, I am going to take the Roadster out for a quick spin around the sun. I’ll be back in a few million years.

That’s nice dear. While you are out, could you pick up a gallon of milk?
