"Women of Achievement Awards Ceremony"

Five local women will be honored for their volunteerism and outstanding community service when the West Essex Woman's Club presents its annual "Women of Achievement Awards Ceremony" on Tuesday, April 25 at 6:30 pm in the Community Room of the West Caldwell Public Library, 30 Clinton Road. 

The honorees are JoAnn Aponte, Mary Donovan (municipal clerk of West Caldwell), Sharon Farrell (caretaker of the Grover Cleveland Memorial Birthplace), Nikole Monroig (chief financial officer of West Caldwell) and Laverne Nelson.

Following the awards ceremony, Beverly W. Crifasi, local historian and vice president of the Historical Society of West Caldwell, will present a slide-lecture titled "New Jersey Women of Achievement" focusing on women in the 17th through 20th century who worked for equal rights, preserved local history, defended their country, and contributed to science, literature and the arts. 

Following the awards ceremony, Beverly W.
