Dominick Stinziano, 87 of Caldwell passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2018. Born and raised in Jersey City, Dominick was a resident of Caldwell since 1975. Dominick was the son of John Stinziano of Campobasso, Italy and Rose Amoroso. He attended James J. Ferris High School in Jersey City and was a member of their music organ club.

In his early working years, Dominick was a member of Amalgamated Local Union 355 of N.Y.C. He began working at “Cut-Rite” wax paper company in Hoboken, where he met his beloved wife. Dominick and his wife, were the owners of Paramount Liquors Store 509 Westside Avenue in Jersey City, from the late 1960’s-mid 1980’s. After selling their business, Dominick worked for Brogan Cadillac in Totowa, until he retired at age 80.

Dominick loved spending time with his family. He became a first-time grandfather at 80 and his grandson is named after him. He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and the New York Giants and hardly ever missed watching a game. Dominick loved to listen to Frank Sinatra, Paul Anka, Tony Bennet and the music of his childhood. He was a gentle and quiet man; what he lacked in words were always shown through his actions. He had a wonderful sense of humor and made people laugh. Dominick enjoyed reminiscing about the “good old days”. He would share funny stories of his childhood with his family. One favorite story was how he was treated like a “prince”, as he was the first-born son after his mother gave birth to four girls. He was a family man. His home was opened to everyone as he had a way of making all whom entered feel welcomed.

Dominick will always be remembered for the love he had for his wife, children, grandchildren and extended family. He was a loving and loyal husband to his wife. He was the best Dad and PePa to his children and grandchildren. He will forever be loved and eternally missed by his family.

Dominick was the beloved husband of 61 years to Evelyn, who predeceased him on February 7, 2018; loving father of Dominick (Sandy); Cathleen (Ron); Lynn Marie (Ash); cherished grandfather of Dominick and Willow; dear brother of Jeanette, Joseph, John and Dennis; and special uncle to many nieces and nephews. Dominick is predeceased his parents, John and Rose; and sisters Theresa, Rosemarie, Josephine and Anna.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Aloysius Church, Caldwell, on Monday May 7, 2018 at 11 a.m. followed by interment burial at Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City.

Arrangements are by Paul Ippolito-Dancy Memorial, Caldwell, NJ.
