WEST CALDWELL, NJ — On this week’s edition of “Bad to the Dad,” a local podcast that celebrates suburban dad life, hosts Randy Nathan and Adam D. Shandler interviewed Andy Brown of West Caldwell, who shared stories about his life as a midshipman and the countries he protected as a member of the United States Navy.

The father of a son who was born at 26 weeks, Brown also talks about his family's speaking and fundraising involvement with the March of Dimes and how his son might be following his footsteps by attending the United States Naval Academy.

The Bad to the Dad Podcast is hosted by West Orange residents Nathan, a life coach for teens, and Shandler, a Livingston native who leads corporate training. Its purpose is to highlight outstanding local dads who coach, carpool, volunteer and fulfill the moral obligation of embarrassing their kids when necessary.

"Coach Randy and I have been learning a lot about dads through these episodes, without taking any of this too seriously,” said Shandler. “We love the variety of guests we have on and their take on the art form of being a dad. Every episode has something for everyone, regardless of the listener's interests, and we're always looking for new and interesting guests.”

This week’s episode, entitled "The Few, The Proud, The Dads," is now streaming on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and other podcast platforms. Episodes are also published weekly on TAPinto.net through a recently launched feature column, which can be found HERE.
