WEST CALDWELL, NJ — Two senior athletes from James Caldwell High School recently signed letters of intent to continue their respective sports in college.

Luke Loudon signed with University of New Haven for football, and Emily Dalla Riva signed with Fairfield University, where she will continue to run cross country.

Loudon was a place kicker for the Caldwell football team. He accounted for three field goals and consistently boomed his kickoffs deep for the Chiefs in 2019. Loudon had six career field goals, including a 33-yarder. Loudon was also perfect on all extra-point attempts his last two seasons.

"My greatest achievement in high school was my junior year when I had the second most points on the team," Loudon said. "At the University of New Haven, I will be majoring in Criminal Justice with a minor in Forensic Psychology."

Dalla Riva's accomplishments for the Caldwell cross country program include a second-place finish in the 2019 Essex County Championships and second place in the American Division at the 2019 Super Essex Conference meet. She also is an accomplished swimmer.
