WEST CALDWELL, NJ — Elizabeth Hessberger, a senior volleyball player at James Caldwell High School, has officially signed a letter of intent to continue her athletic career at DeSales University next year.

Hessberger has played middle blocker and outside hitter for Caldwell's girls volleyball team. A dominant right-hander, she stands at 6-foot-0 and helped her team to a 21-8 record in the 2019 season.

After registering 123 kills during her junior season, Hessberger opened the 2019 season with a total of 23 kills in her first three matches against West Essex, Montclair and Chatham—all Caldwell victories. She also had four blocks in a match against Verona, six digs in a match against Chatham and three aces in a match against West Essex.
