WEST CALDWELL, NJ — Although many colleges have extended their decision deadlines from May 1 to June 1, many James Caldwell High School (JCHS) seniors were ready to announce their college of choice and area of study on Friday.

Traditionally, seniors choose to celebrate College Decision Day on May 1 by dressing in their new college gear during the school day. With school still being held remotely, however, JCHS has proclaimed the entire month of May 2020 as “College Acceptance Month” and has begun putting together an album portraying each student’s plans for next year along with his or her senior portrait.

So far, 160 out of 182 seniors have provided their college decision to the school, which will continue to add to the album throughout the month. All available photos can be seen above, courtesy of JCHS Vice Principal John Bertollo.
