As we inch closer to Christmas and begin to wrap up the 2018 Holiday Season, it gives us all a time to pause and be thankful for all the good that has come our way. December is a month full of celebrations from Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Christmas and New Years. It is a time to celebrate rebirth, a time for family, reflecting on the past year and of course spending time with the people we love. Santa will be paying a visit to Orchard School, more info on the date to be announced .
Orchard School Director Erin Moss shares this quote from actress and philanthropist, Marlo Thomas. "Our many different cultures notwithstanding, there's something about the holidays that makes the planet communal. Even nations that do not celebrate Christmas can't help but be caught up in the collective spirit of their neighbors, as twinkling lights dot the landscape and carols fill the air. It's an inspiring time of the year."
We keep these words close to our heart and encourage parents to join us for our Holiday Lunch on Thursday, Dec. 20 at 5:30 p.m. Following a multi-cultural theme, we ask parents to bring in dishes that resonate with their own culture. This month is the most joyful time of year but it is also the busiest. So take some time to cozy up with your little one(s) and cherish each other during the winter break.
Please keep in mind Orchard School is open throughout the Christmas/New Year break. The only days we are closed are Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. We are open the weekdays in between.
Happy Holidays to all!
