Dear Editor,
As a resident of Roseland for over fifteen years, I have had the good fortune to know the Goldstein family for about ten years.  Their oldest son and my youngest son are in the same grade, now juniors at West Essex High School.
I was always grateful to learn when Neal Goldstein was the Coach for the boys’ team; while we might not have a winning season every time, I knew that we would have a kind and supportive role model on the field (whatever sport was in season).

During those interactions, I learned that Neal was balancing a successful career in IT, a regular running schedule, and several terms on the Roseland Board of Education.  Some parents can become flustered with such a schedule--Neal, in contrast, appeared to thrive and enjoy every moment.
These consistent positive interactions over many years speak to Neal’s character and are the main reason why I support him for the West Essex Board of Education.

Neal will bring a business perspective, experience from his years on the Roseland Board of Education, and, most importantly--an accessibility open to a variety of opinions in order to oversee the best schools possible.
Your concerns will be heard, your ideas will be valued and the Roseland community will be well represented.  I urge you to vote Neal Goldstein for the West Essex Board of Education on November 5, 2019!
