NEW JERSEY – In the annual rankings of New Jersey public school systems for the 2019-20 academic year conducted by real estate website Niche.com, the West Essex Regional School District came in No. 41 in New Jersey. It was ranked the fifth-best school district in Essex County.

According to figures reported by Niche.com, the West Essex School District has 1,651 students in grades PK, K-12 with a student-teacher ratio of 12 to 1. According to state test scores, 45 percent of students are at least proficient in math and 61 percent in reading. West Essex received the following grades from Niche.com:
