Dear Editor:

I am a 13-year resident of Roseland, with three kids in the school system and have had the pleasure of knowing Neal Goldstein for the past 6 years. During that time, there have been many changes within our town, many of which involved our elementary school, Noecker. Of these events, some were sensitive, but I feel that today our system and community is much stronger than it has been since we’ve lived here. Our kids love the school and there is a sense of transparent communication with the parents and an overall strong balance of school / family involvement here in town.

Much of these infrastructure changes to our school have come during the period of time when Neal Goldstein was a Noecker board member. There were trying times but Neal was a calm and resilient leader, and the results speak for themselves.

Neal having two kids in West Essex is especially focused, his family has roots that go back over 30 years in town. I trust that his patience, strong financial and technological background (he’s been a senior technology leader in some major companies) will help to guide and shape the school for our kids for years to come.

I support his candidacy.
