NEWARK, NJ — Law enforcement authorities are currently investigating the fatal death of a Montclair au pair that occurred on Saturday evening.
Maya Moar, a 26-year-old au pair from Holon, Israel was working for a Montclair family when she may have been struck by the Decamp bus as she exited, according to a release issued by Acting Essex County Prosecutor Robert Laurino and Montclair Police Chief Todd Conforti.
The Essex County Prosecutor's Office and the Montclair Police are currently investigating the fatal incident that occurred at Grove Street and Mt. Hebron Road at approximately 6 p.m. on Saturday. Authorities stated that the bus did not stop.
Moar was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:48 p.m.
