CALDWELL, NJ — Dr. Sue Susan Skalsky from Willing Hearts Consignment Shop in Caldwell recently presented a check for $20,000 to the Rotary Club of the Caldwells in support of the service organization’s various charitable projects.
Rotary President Susan Lubalin and President Elect Dr. Mike Kambourakis accepted the donation during this week’s meeting at the Cloverleaf Tavern.
Since October 1997, Willing Hearts Consignment Shop has generated nearly $1.5 million (after operating costs) for the Rotary Club of the Caldwells, which meets once a week to foster its goals and objectives to help whenever a need arises.
Willing Hearts is managed and fully staffed by volunteers for the benefit of the Rotary Club’s charitable efforts.
Those who volunteer with the Rotary Club of the Caldwells are among the 1.2 million Rotary members worldwide who continually serve their local communities, counties, states and countries.
Members are joined together through “a fellowship of individual vocations and mutual concerns for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness,” according to the Caldwell Rotary.
The Rotary Club of the Caldwells—which meets at Cloverleaf Tavern on the first, second, third and fifth Tuesday of each month at 12:15 p.m. and at the Original Pancake House on the fourth Tuesday at 7:30 a.m.—is always looking for new members.
