At noon, all donations were delivered to Bridges for their timely distribution to the hungry.

Sandwiches of MEAT (any kind), CHEESE, or MEAT & CHEESE -- on Soft Bread -- are welcome. Please, no condiments, and kindly individually wrap Sandwiches in a Zip-Lock Bag. Any number of Sandwiches is deeply appreciated, 1 Sandwich or many. Every Sandwich counts! Kindly be aware that your Sandwich may be the only meal someone eats this day.

In lieu of Sandwiches, a Cash Contribution may be made to the Drive-by Bridges Donation Bucket.

SOS is in its 10th year of Ministry at SCS, having served thousands of people in need through hands-on, in-person activities and services at its Partner Organizations/Programs:

Bridges, Community Food Bank of NJ, Covenant House, Eva's Village Hope Residence, Eva's Village Community Kitchen, Nancy's Place, St. Joseph's Healthcare/Cedar Grove.

Subsequent, monthly COLLECTIONS will each benefit one of these Partner Organizations.

Your generosity in helping to feed our food insecure neighbors is much needed and deeply appreciated.

Traditionally, five times a year, SOS Teams gather to make 300 sandwiches & accompanying Lunch additions ... and alongside Bridges Staff, distribute their Brown Bag meals, along with Amenities, to the homeless and working poor on the streets of Newark.
Additionally, SOS gathers another five times yearly, to assemble 250 non-perishable, “Sustainable Meals” for Bridges Emergency use.
Due to COVID-19, the ministry does not gather to make these meals or go to Newark to distribute them.
This Sandwich Collection will send the message that “we still care” though we cannot be with you.
