FAIRFIELD, NJ — Despite a last-minute date change due to rain, Fairfield's third annual Soccer Pep Rally went off without a hitch and drew a huge crowd at the Fairfield Recreation Complex Turf Field on Saturday.

With the help of local sponsors, the Fairfield Recreation Department, Fairfield Falcons Football Boosters and Cheer, coaches, teams, families and friends, the Fairfield Soccer Boosters were able to host a memorable event to help recognize the local boys and girls youth soccer players from grades 1-8.

Many of the parents thanked the Fairfield Soccer Boosters for their hard work in organizing the Pep Rally and were also appreciative of the excitement and recognition that their children received for participating in Fairfield recreation soccer.

Head coach AnnMarie Bastante, whose daughter, Alexandra, both cheers and plays recreation soccer, expressed pride in how her squad performed on Saturday and was happy and excited to be part of the event.

Volunteer announcers and brothers Tom and Mike Kassebart entertained the crowd with music and thanked all the sponsors and families who helped with the event. They also got the crowd making some noise with the help of Jason and Lorraine Sotomayor by throwing free giveaways provided by the Fairfield Soccer Boosters and other donations into the stands.
