ROSELAND, NJ — The Borough of Roseland reminds senior citizens, or families with senior members, that services are available through the borough to assist seniors with meals for them and their household “during this stressful and difficult time.”

"It is important that we look out for and care for each other at this time,” said Mayor James R. Spango. “The Borough continues to seek out ways to ensure our residents are cared for with any supply we can provide, while keeping them healthy and safe.”

Roseland seniors are encouraged to call the borough’s main phone line at 973-226-8080 with their name, address, phone number and date of birth so that the borough can connect them with local food delivery programs or other programs, departments and organizations in Essex County that could help them.

"The borough is working hard to address the needs of our residents and seniors during this difficult time,” said Councilwoman Eileen Fishman. “This program is just one way of accomplishing that.”

The borough has also pledged to absorb the cost of any meals Roseland seniors need if they cannot afford to pay for the delivery service themselves.
