The Roseland Democratic Committee proudly announces their candidates for the 2020 Borough Council Election. Council President Christopher Bardi will be running for re-election to his second term and Matthew Biront will be running for election to his first term.
“Roseland is fortunate to have two strong candidates running for Council. Chris Bardi is an accomplished public servant and professional, father of two, and Matt Biront is an aspiring professional and lifelong Roseland resident” says Roseland Democratic Chairman Julius “Jay” Coltre.
In his 2+ years on the Borough Council, Chris Bardi has served two terms as Council President and has chaired the Finance and Administration Committee as well as Public Affairs. Chris holds a Master of Business Administration from Indiana University and possesses 17+ years of IT Management experience, currently employed as an IT Director for a New York based Global Consumer Goods company.
“I am proud and honored to be a member of the Roseland Borough Council. Our governing body is hardworking, determined, and effective and I would be honored to continue my service to the residents of Roseland” says Council President Chris Bardi.
Matt Biront grew up in Roseland and has spent the majority of his life here. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology from Southern New Hampshire University and has experience in Retail Management and Information Technology, currently employed at Allied Management as Junior Network Administrator.
“I am running for council because I want to make the town a great place for our children and community to live in. Being on the Borough Council will give me an opportunity to give back to the town that helped me become who I am today” says Matt Biront.
Bardi and Biront are running under the campaign slogan “Putting Progress into Action”. “We are honored to continue the great work that our governing body has begun under the leadership of Mayor James Spango. Fiscal responsibility, community involvement, and public safety are priorities of ours and we will work hard to continue to advance Roseland in the right direction”, says Bardi and Biront.
