ROSELAND, NJ — The Borough of Roseland urges residents of Roseland and neighboring towns to take a look at the borough’s recently revamped website, social media accounts, newsletter and television channel.
After making an investment earlier in 2019, the borough launched its new website and new social media accounts—including a new Facebook page, Twitter account and Instagram page—in mid-December 2019. The Roseland Borough Newsletter was also revamped and rebranded, as it is now known as “This Week in Roseland,” replacing the previous name, “The Insider,” which had been used for several years.
The public access television channel, “Roseland TV,” also received an upgrade and has a new refreshed look. The Borough of Roseland hopes to add new content to the channel as well in 2020 in addition to rebroadcasting the previous council meetings as had been done previously.
“Our new communications program leverages the latest web, e-mail, and video technology to ensure that the borough can reach our residents in an effective manner, and our residents can get quick access to important information and learn about events in town,” said Council President and Communications Liaison Christopher Bardi. “These much-needed upgrades center around two of our key objectives which include encouraging community involvement and increasing transparency. We hope the residents enjoy these improvements, and we look forward to hearing feedback to enable us to continuously improve.”
Mayor James Spango added that improving services while maintaining fiscal responsibility is “something the governing body is committed to.”
“The relaunch of our website, weekly newsletter, television station and social media presence is another great example of teamwork, transparency and fiscal responsibility,” said Spango. “These improved services will keep our residents better informed and hopefully encourage even more participation.”
