FAIRFIELD, NJ — Several motor vehicles were broken into overnight with one car being stolen between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m. on Wednesday in Fairfield, according to police.

Police noted that the stolen vehicle had the keys left inside, and all of the vehicles were left unlocked in the Hollywood Avenue/Big Piece Road area. Updates will be provided with any further information.

 

Earlier this week, at approximately 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, officers responded to a West Greenbrook Road address for a burglar alarm. According to police, patrols found signs of forced entry and an attempted burglary that had occurred. 

A canvass of the area did not revealed any vehicle or suspects. The burglary is believed to have occurred shortly before the alarm was activated. There is nothing further on this incident at this time.
