LIVINGSTON, NJ — A police chase that began in Roseland at approximately 2:34 a.m. on Saturday ended in Livingston with the arrest of one of four suspects who fled from the stolen vehicle they were occupying at the time.

When officers from the Roseland Police Department located a stolen motor vehicle and attempted to stop it, police said the driver attempted to elude the officers and led them on chase along Laurel Avenue into Livingston. The vehicle, a 2018 Toyota Highlander, had been reported stolen from Holmdel two days earlier, police said.

Livingston police explained that the stolen car hit a utility pole on Tulip Court, shearing off the right front wheel. Four occupants, all wearing masks, ran from the disabled Highlander.
