CALDWELL, NJ — Water main replacement construction on Tuesday, Aug. 11 will block vehicle access to residents on parts of three Caldwell streets.

Residents from Cleveland Road traveling toward Lockward Road (south direction), residents on Leaycraft Lane and Lockward Road will not have vehicle access to their residence on Tuesday.

Those residents are being asked to park their vehicles on Cleveland Road and/or Cherry Lane overnight if they need to venture out after 7 a.m. on Tuesday.
Construction work should be completed by the end of the day. Water services to these residences will be completed in the near future, according to the borough.

Milling will occur on Wednesday, Aug. 12 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wakefield Place and Ward Place in the borough. Once the milling starts at 7 a.m., residents and business owners will have restricted access to their homes or businesses with their vehicles. Officers will be available to assist as needed. No parking will be allowed on Wakefield Place and Ward Place during the construction.

Overnight parking will be allowed on all side streets surrounding Ward Place and Wakefield Place the night before (Tuesday into Wednesday) if you need to venture out after 7 a.m.. (i.e. Park Avenue, Smull Avenue, Ella Road, Welshman Court and Central Avenue)

Paving of Wakefield Place and Ward Place will occur one day during the week of Aug. 17-21.
