ROSELAND, NJ — The Roseland Police Department is currently collecting toys for the Toys for Tots Foundation, a program started by the United States Marine Corps Reserve that distributes toys to children in need. A 24/7 drop off will be available at the department through Dec. 14.

Toys for Tots was founded in 1947 to help less fortunate children throughout the United States experience the joys of Christmas. For three months each year, the program unites communities in a common cause during the annual toy collection and distribution campaign.

To help the Roseland Police Department “bring holiday cheer to a less-fortunate child,” drop off new, unwrapped toys or other gifts in the collection boxes located in the lobby of police headquarters, located at 15 Harrison Avenue (across from Roseland Borough Hall).

Contact the Roseland Police Department at 973-226-8700 with any questions, or visit to learn more about the Toys for Tots Foundation.
