Sisterhood of Congregation Agudath Israel hold Successful Holiday Vendor Fair

CALDWELL, NJ - Congregation Agudath Israel, on Sunday, November 18th, was the site of a very spirited and well-attended Holiday Vendor Fair.  Over 30 vendors were spread throughout their Social Hall displaying some very unique and colorful items.

Some of the vendors which attended included:

* ABC Memories
* Cherished Decor
* Dana's Closet of Fairfield
* fibi&clo
* Initials Inc.
* Karen's Kreations
* Lucky One Jewelry and Accessories
* Organize with Dana
* Pupcake Grooming and Bakery of Caldwell

There was also an extensive book sale going on at the same time.

The event was organized by Co-Chairs Amy Lewin, Susie Botwinick, and Linda Feinson Lowenthal who are all active members of the congregations’ Sisterhood.

Originally formed in 1920 as the Ladies Auxiliary of the Jewish League of Caldwell, the Sisterhood of Congregation Agudath Israel of West Essex  continues to work for the synagogue specifically with a focus on youth through their Early Childhood Center, and scholarships and with a focus on Adult Education.  The sisterhood is involved with successful philanthropic endeavors throughout the year to support their causes and are deeply involved with the religious work at the synagogue.

Organizer Amy Lewin of North Caldwell commented, “We received a lot of good feedback from this event, there was a lot of flow.  Besides our West Essex towns, people that I met were coming from Livingston, Montclair and the Oranges.”

Cristina Granelli, owner of the online retail site Cherished Decor displayed a lovely selection of her “Pretty Rubber Gloves,” “Fancy Utensils,” “High Heel Cake Servers,” along with a collection of frames and candle holders.

Susie Botwinick, one of the day’s organizers from West Caldwell, commented, “I’m very happy with the crowd turnout, and I love the vendor displays.  We have been looking to grow this for several years now and it’s going well.”

Amanda Neufeld was there representing the online retail store fibi&clo of New York. As Amanda said, “It’s all about fabulous shoes,” and Amanda had a nice assortment with her including Cascades in Black and Gold, Sea Star, Love Knot, and the Capri Wedge.

Owner of online retail business Lucky One Jewelry and Accessories, Marcella Van Peenan,  displayed a beautiful collection of Headwarmers, Necklaces, Bracelets, Earrings, and other accessories. She commented, “although my business is online, I have a lot of clients within the West Essex community.”

Gina Mortman, owner of online site A Little Chic Boutique happily displayed her large collection of Large Polka Dot Duffle Bags, a nice collection of onesies,  and really unique tutus!
