GLEN RIDGE, NJ -- Glen Ridge rallied from an eight-point deficit after three quarters to tie the game, then went on to defeat the West Essex boys basketball team in overtime, 47-38, in the preliminary round of the Essex County Tournament Friday night.

Daniel Brener scored 13 points to lead West Essex (9-6), which led, 28-20, after three quarters. Henry Sanok finished with 11 points for the Knights.

Sam Trunley scored 27 points for Glen Ridge (11-5), which outscored the Knights, 14-6, in the fourth quarter and then 13-4 in overtime.
