WEST CALDWELL, NJ -- After securing its first victory of the season last Friday, the Caldwell football team will head to Jersey City this Friday to play Lincoln High School--the first of three consecutive road games for the Chiefs.

Caldwell (1-1) built a 34-0 halftime lead on its way to a 41-0 victory over Snyder of Jersey City last Friday. Joe Jenkins and Jeff LaQuaglia each scored two touchdowns in the opening half. One of LaQuaglia's TDs came on a 54-yard pass play from quarterback Peter Murray.

Pat Capozzoli had the only second-half TD on a 1-yard run. Luke Loudon also kicked a 33-yard field goal for Caldwell, which finished with 367 yards of total offense.

Jenkins finished with 85 yards on 11 carries, Capozzoli carried nine times for 70 yards and LaQuaglia had 50 rushing yards on 12 carries plus 69 yards on two receptions.

Defensively, Caldwell got a game-high 16 tackles from Tyler Nolan. Jack Kenyan made eight tackles and Nick Vacca was in on six tackles and made one interception.
