NORTH CALDWELL, NJ -- The West Essex football team built a 21-point halftime lead and went on to a 49-28 victory over Hanover Park Friday night.

Nicholas Ciaglia rushed for two touchdowns and passed for one for the Knights (1-1), who led, 35-14, at the half. Ciaglia had a 34-yard TD run and threw an 8-yard scoring strike to Chris Corbo.

The Knights, who bounced back from an opening week loss to Passaic Tech, got two TDs on the ground from Cristian Cataldo.
