MAPLEWOOD, NJ -- The West Essex girls basketball team pulled away in the fourth quarter for a 52-37 victory over Columbia on Tuesday.

Olivia Weiss scored 14 points with four assists and four steals for West Essex (6-2), which outscored Columbia, 17-7, in the fourth quarter to extend a 35-30 lead.

Halle Aschenbach finished with 12 points and five assists, Jessica Coia had eight points and six rebounds, and Katelyn Doud totaled six points, eight rebounds and three steals in the victory.
