WEST CALDWELL, NJ -- The Caldwell and West Essex High School boys basketball programs, which had been playing in the same division, will be separated into different divisions of the Super Essex Conference for the 2020-2021 season.

West Essex will remain in the Independence Division, but Caldwell will be moving from the Independence to the Colonial Division. Caldwell will be in a division with Livingston, North Star Academy, Verona, Millburn, Belleville, Bloomfield and Barringer.

West Essex will be in a division with Glen Ridge, Newark Academy, Collegiate, Newark Academy, Weequahic, Nutley and Montclair-Kimberley Academy.

In girls basketball, Caldwell and West Essex--who were not in the same division in that sport--each will move up a division in 2020-2021. Caldwell will move from the Colonial to the Liberty Division. West Essex will move from the Liberty Division to the top-rated American Division.

The Caldwell girls basketball team's Liberty Division opponents will be Arts, Columbia, Newark Tech, Livingston, Mount St. Dominic and Bloomfield. The West Essex girls basketball team's American Division opponents will be University, Immaculate, West Orange, East Orange, Nutley and Payne Tech.
