EAST ORANGE, NJ - Football players from Essex, Passaic, Morris, Sussex and Warren will be trying to make their mark in the Paul Robeson Classic All-Star football game today at Robeson Field in East Orange.

The game pits the best players in these counties in an East vs. West matchup to celebrate the life and career of Robeson, the 1919 Rutgers valedictorian, who was an All-American athlete while he played football there and went on to play 15 NFL games with the Akron Pros and Milwaukee Badgers.

Here are some of the East’s players to keep an eye on in the All-Star Classic.

A member of Seton Hall Prep’s football and baseball teams, the 6-foot tall 175-pound senior plans to attend Bucknell University in the fall.

He also contributed offensively with an average of 26.8 rushing yards per game and 19 receptions for 205-yards this season. Boswell will attend Kean University in the fall.

Darian Andresky – James Caldwell High School

The 6-foot-4, 260-pound Caldwell senior will look to use his size as an offensive lineman to create time and space for his quarterbacks in the matchup.

Mike Panzarino – West Essex High School

During West Essex’s run in the Section 2, Group 3 playoffs, Panzarino helped his team beat Voorhees in the opening round with three catches for 97-yards and a touchdown as a receiver. Cluelessly Clueless

I teenaged my way through high school under the assumption that my parents had no idea what I was doing.  I like to think I was pretty good at withholding information and presenting situations in ways that were other than they really were.

Still, sometimes they found things out.  Like the time my friends plopped me on our front door step at one o'clock in the morning ...
