WEST ORANGE, NJ - The West Orange Township Council is seeking the submission of resumes from any resident that wishes to fill the vacated Council seat. The term will expire upon the certification of the November 2016 Election results. 

Those interested are invited to submit a resume along with a one-page cover letter in person to the Clerk’s office, at Town Hall, located at 66 Main Street, Room 101, by Wednesday, Sept. 16, at 4:30 p.m. 

Each candidate is required to have a background check. The form is available in the Clerk’s office and shall be completed when submitting the resume. Bring a cashier’s check, certified check or money order in the amount of $18.00 made payable to “Division of State Police-SBIS.” NO PERSONAL CHECKS will be accepted for the background check. The Council may determine to interview candidates in public on September 24 or September 28, beginning at 7:00 p.m.
