WEST ORANGE, NJ - An accident on Pleasant Valley Way in West Orange closed the heavily trafficked roadway for several hours this afternoon from the area to Bloomfield Avenue.

A vehicle struck a telephone pole in the vicinity of Brighton Gardens (200 PVW), downing wires. Police and PSEG sped to the scene and the road was closed while crews worked to repair the damage.

The driver of the vehicle was uninjured.

According to the West Orange Police Department, as of 7:00 pm, one lane of Pleasant Valley is currently open in both directions. PSEG crews are still on site effecting repairs.
