KENILWORTH, NJ — Atlantic Federal Credit Union invites graduating high school seniors to apply for a 2017 Credit Union Scholarship. The program runs in conjunction with NJ Credit Union League’s statewide program. There will be eight $1,000 scholarships awarded at the state level.
For the second year, one of the union’s members is granting a scholarship in his father’s memory. The $1,000 Roland G. Bouchal Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to the top-graded applicant from Atlantic Federal who does not win at the state level.
Bouchal was on the Credit Union’s Board of Directors for more than 20 years, starting in the 1950’s, including serving as president. The Credit Union will also fund two additional $1,000 scholarship awards.
Applicants must be high school seniors graduating in June 2017. They must also have a credit union account or open an account at the time of applying for the scholarship.
The deadline for scholarship entries is Friday, March 31. Applications can be found at any Atlantic Federal branch, including our Essex Green Shopping Center location or downloaded from www.atlfedcu.com.
