NEW YORK, NY — Bederson Founding Member, Edward Bond, CPA, CIRA, CFE received a Lifetime Leadership Achievement Award at the 10th annual Turnaround Atlas Awards held on Thursday at the Metropolitan Club in New York. Bederson LLP, an accounting firm located in Fairfield and West Orange, was also awarded a transactional award in the Private Equity Turnaround (Small–Cap, below 25m) Category for its role in the acquisition of Short Bark Industries by Point Blank Enterprises, a portfolio company of JLL Partners.
Bond’s career spans half a century, during which time he assumed leadership roles in financial, business and philanthropic communities. Early in his career, he was elected the sole public member of the nominating committee of the American Stock Exchange Board of Governors.
His tenure at Bederson LLP includes serving as managing partner and chairman as well as overseeing a department specializing in bankruptcy and forensic accounting.
Bond has provided fiduciary services, forensic accounting, insolvency and reorganization, litigation services and turnaround consulting to hundreds of clients. He has served as Liquidating Trustee and Accountant to the Liquidating Trustee in cases throughout New Jersey, New York and Delaware.
Particular career highlights include serving on the board of directors in high-profile cases such as Federal-Mogul and Pittsburg Corning, where he helped monetize a significant return for investors and shareholders.
