Fagan has been titled the Official Town Historian by the Township, the latest of several people to hold the designation, and no one can deny he likely will know the answer to just about any question about the history of the town….or find out about it and get back to you.

In February, he spoke at the dedication of the marker to Anna Easter Brown,at the West Orange Library the first historical marker in a project he is spearheading this year, He admitted to the audience he didn’t know of her story before it was presented to him. Yet, at the event marking the unveiling, he came up with information and related materials for the audience to see and feel.

Fagan shares his love of the history of West Orange on the town public access channel weekly as well.

All of Fagan’s books are available for purchase. He asks that you contact him through Facebook in a private message at Joseph Fagan, where you may leave a mailing address and be sent an order form.
