ORANGE, NJ - City of Orange sources have told TAPinto East Orange/Orange that one person is dead and three others are injured after a bus crashed into the Bank of America building on Main Street in Orange just after 2:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.

A spokesperson for the bank said no customers or employees were injured, but there is extensive damage to the building.

An early statement from the city and police at the scene confirmed that the accident involved the bus and a passenger car, which allegedly caused the bus driver to swerve, hit a pedestrian and end up embedded in the side of the bank building. 

The Essex County Prosecutor's Office was on the scene investigating the accident.
