WEST ORANGE, NJ — A citation recognizing the 10th anniversary of Purchased Possessions Fine Men’s Apparel was presented by Megan Brill, executive director of the West Orange Downtown Alliance, during Tuesday’s West Orange Township Council meeting. The business moved from Montclair to West Orange a decade ago, Brill said.
“The only thing I would have done differently was to move to West Orange earlier,” said owner Froncel Anderson, who added that the township’s support of his business has been excellent over the years.
Froncel will be retiring later this year, and Brill said he will be missed.
Brill also took the opportunity to tell the council members about new businesses that have recently opened or will be opening this spring in the downtown area. She said this includes a new dog-grooming shop, a make-up store, the new barbershop called Made Men and a shop that repairs phones and other technology.
She also announced that Don Juan Restaurant will be opening a second location in West Orange that will be called Don Juan Tapas Bar & Grill.
Business Administrator John Sayers announced that apartment tours are now taking place at the Edison Village. He told the council that everything is falling into place for the opening of the apartments in the coming months.
