WEST ESSEX AREA, NJ — With the primary election coming up on June 5 and the general midterm election on Nov. 6, residents of the 11th Congressional District—which includes the Essex County municipalities of Bloomfield, Caldwell, Cedar Grove, Essex Fells, Fairfield, Livingston, Montclair, North Caldwell, Nutley, Roseland, Verona, West Caldwell and West Orange—are urged to take note of important voting-related deadlines. 

This Wednesday, April 11, is the deadline to declare a party. Those registered with a party wishing to vote in another party’s primary must change affiliation by this date; unaffiliated voters may declare for a party any time up until and including at the polls on Primary Day.
