WEST ORANGE, NJ - Daughters of Israel held its annual Volunteer Luncheon on April 15, recognizing close to 100 volunteers who dedicate their time to the Gift Shop, Work Activity Center, Laundry Services, Business Office, Rehab Center, Dietitians’ Office, Shipping and Receiving Department, Thrift Shop, and other areas throughout the Home.

The attendees enjoyed a luncheon buffet, entertainment, games, and raffle prizes.

In addition, this year, volunteers from the Deron School surprised Director of Volunteers at Daughters of Israel Eve Goldberg by presenting her with a special award for her dedication to career training.

“It is such a wonderful and rewarding experience to celebrate our volunteers, who give of their time so selflessly and are truly dedicated to our residents and our home,” said Goldberg. “How touching it was that the Deron School thought to present me with an award, when it is the volunteers who we were supposed to be thanking!”
