For the volunteers of the West Orange Animal Welfare League (WOAWL), the holidays came early thanks to Fahoury Ink, a local copywriting firm and long-time supporter of the organization.

For the second year, Fahoury Ink celebrated National Adopt a Shelter Pet month by donating 10% of its October billings to the WOAWL to support its rescue and placement of stray and abandoned animals in the West Orange, NJ area.

Says company owner Lisa Fahoury, “Thanks to our wonderful clients — who kept us busy all month long — we were able to beat last year’s $2200 by nearly 30%.”

Extra Time

It was close to 70 minutes into the match and I had to go to the bathroom.  Badly.

As fans watching the World Cup know too well, bathroom breaks are a serious dilemma, especially for those who don’t have a TV in the loo.  This biological necessity is exasperated by beer, which during World Cup matches also fuels a strong propensity to throw chairs and instigate riots.
