Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo, Jr. will host the County’s Annual Women’s History Month Program at the Essex County LeRoy F. Smith, Jr. Public Safety Building on Thursday, March 29th. The theme of this year’s program is “Women Making a Difference in Essex County. The event will begin at noon at the Essex County LeRoy Smith Public Safety Building, 50 Nelson Place, Newark, on the 14 Floor Conference room.
The 2013 Essex County Althea Gibson Leadership Awards will be presented to Courtney Gaccione, Esq., Administration and Finance; Irma Menendez, Corrections;Kate Hartwyk, Parks; Jackie Evans, Public Works; Leslie Porter-Hankerson, Citizen Services; Monique Collins, Economic Development;Joyce Mauer, Health and Rehabilitation; Andrea Johnson, Prosecutor’s Office; Deputy Chief, Linda Knoll, Sheriff’s Office; Dicxiana Carbonell,Vocational Schools. These remarkable women have made tremendous contributions to improve the quality of life for Essex County residents.
