WEST ORANGE, NJ The County of Essex and County Executive Joseph DiVincenzo, Jr. will host a public meeting about the Master Plan being created for Essex County Turtle Back Zoo, with the purpose of gathering input from community members about what improvements they would like to see at the zoo.

The meeting will be held on Thursday, Feb. 22 at 7 p.m. at the Essex County South Mountain Recreation Complex, Essex County Turtle Back Zoo Education Building, 560 Northfield Avenue. The Education Building is located on the eastern side of the zoo, adjacent to the Treetop Adventure.

“With all the new exhibits, attractions and amenities, Turtle Back Zoo and the South Mountain Recreation Complex have grown by leaps and bounds,” said DiVincenzo. “Our zoo has been described as one of the fastest-growing facilities in the United States and definitely is on the ‘must do’ list for families from throughout the Tri-State area.
