FAMILYConnections Fundraiser To Be Held At Orange Lawn Tennis Club

WEST ORANGE, NJ - FAMILYConnections’ Tenth Anniversary International Tasting Gala is coming Tuesday, May 13th to Orange Lawn Tennis Club, South Orange. This popular evening of music, fine food and wine will benefit over 4,000 area children, adults and families.

Honorees at this year’s event are:  Chandra Wilson, Star of ABC TV’s Grey’s Anatomy, and Roger L. Manshel, Short Hills resident and FAMILYConnections Trustee and Past President. 

Featuring many of the area’s finest and most popular restaurants and caterers, the Tasting Gala is an Essex County fundraising favorite.  This year’s participants include but are not limited to Ariyoshi and Papillion 25 of South Orange, Basilico of Millburn, Fiorino Ristorante and La Focaccia Ristorante of Summit, Nero’s Grille of Livingston, Restaurant Serenade of Chatham and McLoone’s Boathouse of West Orange.

“This is always a fun evening and I thank everyone who has helped to make this event such a success over the years,” said Paula Sabreen, FAMILYConnections Executive Director.  “If you want to enjoy some great food from local favorites, while helping your neighbors, come celebrate with us!”

Connie Salimbeno, Director of Support Services in the West Orange School District and West Orange Councilman Victor Cirilo were named to the executive board of FAMILYConnections in August of 2013.

FAMILYConnections is located in East Orange and serves the Greater Essex region with 30+ behavioral health programs for all ages, offering counseling, skills-building, training and prevention.  Funds raised from the International Tasting Gala will support all of these services.
