WEST ORANGE, NJ - The fifth annual West Orange High School Fan Fest on Thursday bubbled with school spirit as students and athletes gathered to support one another and connect with the community. The event was held on the baseball field of Conforti Campus.

West Orange boys soccer and girls volleyball both had home games during Fanfest. The girls fell, 2-1, to Bloomfield while boys soccer shut out Irvington, 8-0.

"Today was a great team win," said head coach Doug Nevins. "Five different players scored and assisted on goals. It was great to score some goals and we hope to use this momentum moving forward.”

The boys currently stand at 6-1-3 overall after defeating East Orange on Monday and most of their game-winning scores this season have been in the one-or two-point zone.

Girls volleyball stands at 6-4 overall.

Over on the Fan Fest field, WOHS principal Hayden Moore was generating plenty of enthusiasm himself as he visited the sports booths and chatted with students. Superintendent Jeff Rutzky stopped by to support the effort as well.

"This is a great high school with a lot of fantastic things happening," he said.

For a few days, rumors spread that Game of Thrones will not return for its final season until April 2019, and while it was clarified that the April return date was likely a false rumor, HBO ...

Paterson Firefighter Opens Up About Struggles, Urges Others not to Suffer in Silence

February 8, 2018

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ - Not a week goes by when a tale of heroism and bravery on the part of firefighters is not told. For them, running into a burning building is as natural as running out of one is for the rest of us.

That became apparent again on Monday when members of the Paterson Fire Department responded to a fire at 268 Main Street, which led to the eventual total collapse of ...
