WEST ORANGE, NJ — The first-ever “Luck O' The Pup” Pet Adoption Fair and food and supplies drive will be held at the Shillelagh Club of West Orange on Sunday, Oct. 8.
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet cats and dogs available for adoption and donate animal supplies beginning at 12:00 p.m on that date. For the next four hours, guests will also have an opportunity to enjoy food, drinks, 50/50 and a basket raffle.
Participating shelters include Common Sense for Animals, Rosemarie's Rescue Ranch, Parsippany Animal Shelters, and Meows Kitty Kat Rescue.
The Luck O' The Pup Pet Adoption Fair is organized by Co-Chairs Marie Maxwell and Cindy Blanco of Cindy B Designs. According to Maxwell, all proceeds will go directly to rescue.
“To get homeless animals adopted into loving homes," said Maxwell. "We are passionate animal lovers and rescue advocates. We organized a fun, family-friendly event to draw a crowd so that our participating rescues get maximum exposure for the adoptable pets who will be in attendance. We also want to stress that we will be collecting food and supplies for the rescues.”
There is a $15 donation at the door but kids under 16 are free. The first 50 people to arrive will receive a free swag bag. The Shillelagh Club is located at 648 Prospect Avenue in West Orange.
