Friends of West Orange Public Library to Host Anniversary Celebration

WEST ORANGE, NJ — The Friends of West Orange Public Library will celebrate its first anniversary the library (lower level) on Sunday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

This event will also celebrate the completion of the library’s exterior façade and the significant interior improvements, including the creation of useful and necessary educational and community meeting space in the lower level of the library.

The Friends will take this opportunity to thank the township mayor and council as well as key township staff, the library board, the library director and staff and the many Friends members and other library supporters.

According to Friends, the evening’s activities will include buffet-style food and desserts, a 50/50 raffle and chances for an afternoon at the Woodhouse Spa, a dinner at Highlawn Pavilion, a chance at winning “The Color of Water” a photograph by a West Orange photographer and other surprises. On display will be many works of art by West Orange Arts Council members.

The event is open to library and Friends supporters. To cover costs, tickets for the event are $20 per person for Friends members and $30 per person for others.
