WEST ORANGE, NJ — Santa Clause is coming to town on Friday to wave at neighbors as he takes a ride through the streets of West Orange.
He will return once again for breakfast from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday to kick off the annual Holiday Open House at Washington School. Reservations ($7 for children over 2 years and $10 for adults) are recommended by contacting email@example.com with the family name and number of kids/adults. Santa will remain to take photos until 3:30 p.m.
The day will continue with free, guided trolley tours with local historian Joe Fagan from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with tours leaving every half hour.
From 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., the public is invited to a Stuffed Animal Workshop and Winter Wonderland Storytime at the West Orange Public Library. As space is limited, reservations are also recommended.
To cap off the evening, West Orange Mayor Robert Parisi will host the annual Old-Fashioned Christmas Tree Lighting at Town Hall.
A petting zoo will open at 4 p.m., followed by live entertainment at 5 p.m. and a raffle drawing at 5:30 p.m.
Santa will arrive once again at 6 p.m. in the council chambers. Complimentary hot chocolate and cookies will be served.
